Join us for a free Signal Integrity seminar presented by subject matter experts from Keysight Technologies and Granite River Labs. This event will be held in an intimate environment with Q&A and open discussion encouraged. Register and be a part of this unique learning experience!

With line rates pushing 56Gb+, having the right skills to tackle SI challenges is a must. This seminar is targeted for anyone involved in creating, simulating, and validating high speed designs. About the Speakers:

Ben Chia, Senior Signal Integrity Consultant at Granite River Labs
Ben has been in the Signal Integrity solutions business for over 17 years and is a recognized Signal Integrity expert. Ben focuses on measurement-based modeling, characterization, validation and simulation and high speed interconnect consulting for high speed memory and 20G backplane technologies. Prior to Granite River Labs, Ben was a Senior Signal Integrity Engineer at Rambus for 11 years where he was heavily involved with PCB, package and connector modeling and measurement for high speed DDR3 memory system designs, SERDES backplane performance analysis, and Power Integrity simulation. Ben has helped many customers solve tough SI and PI challenges. Ben also leads the development of high speed TDR and S-parameter probes and probe stations for PacketMicro Inc. Ben received an MS in Computer & Electrical Power Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Gary Otonari, Senior Account Manager, Keysight EEsof EDA, High Speed Digital Design
Gary is Account Manager for Keysight EEsof EDA in Silicon Valley where he helps Signal Integrity and Power Integrity design engineers overcome challenging problems by using state of the art measurement, modeling and simulation tools. He has 25 years of experience in high frequency and high speed hardware design, and is an expert in interconnect measurement, modeling and simulation. Prior to Keysight, Gary worked at Hughes Aircraft as a satellite communications RF payload engineer, and at GigaTest Labs as a Signal Integrity Engineer and has held various positions in engineering, management, sales and marketing, at EEsof, Hewlett Packard, Agilent Technologies and Sigrity. He has published numerous technical papers on topics related to EDA, Signal Integrity and Power Integrity engineering. Gary received his BSEE from UCLA with an emphasis in Electromagnetics and Microwave Engineering.

Mike Resso, Product Manager, Keysight Technologies Component Test Division
Mike is the Signal Integrity Application Scientist at Keysight Technologies and has over thirty years of experience in the test and measurement industry. His background includes the design of electro-optic test instrumentation for aerospace and commercial applications. His current work includes multiport characterization of high speed digital interconnects using TDRs and VNAs. He has authored over 30 professional publications including a book on signal integrity. Mike has been awarded one US patent and has twice received the Agilent “Spark of Insight” Award for his contribution to the company. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Stephen Slater, Business Development Manager, Keysight EEsof EDA, High Speed Digital Design
Stephen comes from an Application Engineering background with 8 years of experience with Keysight EEsof simulation products, supporting system-level communication system design, and EM simulation of Memory Designs. He has a Bachelor degree in Electronic Engineering (1st Class Hons.) and a Bachelor of Information Technology, from Griffith University (Australia).

Miki Takahashi, Director of Engineering at Granite River Labs
Recipient of the 2014 SD Association Innovation and Technology Award, Miki is an expert in analog design, signal integrity, and memory interfaces including SD, Compact Flash, and DDR. Miki chairs the SD Card Association Ultra High Speed Task Group (UHS-TG) to drive signal integrity discussion and test specification for UHS-II, the latest SD Card interface (SD 4.0). Prior to GRL, over 15 years at NEC/Renesas Electronics and O2 Micro where he led the design of SERDES and high speed memory interface IP. Miki received as BS in Material Physics and an MS in Quantum Engineering from Nagoya University.
