Active Cable and Re-Driver testing White Paper
Granite River Labs has leveraged its signal integrity expertise to help customers test and implement active cable and re-driver solutions. As data rates grow higher, active cable and re-driver solutions are becoming even more important to handle communication over the same length or even longer lengths of cable and interconnect. GRL has taken a leadership role in the SATA, SAS, DisplayPort, and USB communities to develop proper test methodologies to handle the particular challenges associated with active cable and re-driver based systems. Most recently, GRL studied the effects of Intersil active cables on LSI Logic SAS 6Gb/s storage systems.
