Topic: All About 10BASE-T1S Signaling, Multidrop Topology & PLCA Protocol
Date: 2 April 2025
Unlike the traditional point-to-point architecture of Ethernet PHYs, 10BASE-T1S allows more than two transmitting nodes to communicate across multi-drop connections. This is supported by the Physical Layer Collision Avoidance (PLCA) reconciliation sublayer, developed in 802.3cg to maintain compatibility with the existing Ethernet Media Access Control (MAC).
Conduct 10BASE-T1S testing with confidence by mastering the fundamentals of 10BASE-T1S signaling, multidrop topology, and PLCA protocol; complete with real-world case studies designed to help you apply modern testing techniques.
