This certification validates displays of 120Hz refresh rates and above, representing a breakthrough in display performance that combines professional-grade color accuracy with competitive gaming capabilities.
Introduced by the Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA®) in December 2024 as a next-generation OLED display specification, DisplayHDR True Black establishes stringent criteria in 1000-nit peak brightness at 8% white screen area while maintaining minimum 500-nit sustained brightness across the entire display.
