Industry-leading GRL USB Type-C® Power Delivery analyzers and testers also approved to perform the full range of Quick Charge testing
Granite River Labs (“GRL”), a global leader in test and certification services and automated test solutions for digital connectivity and charging technologies, has announced that its lab in Karlsruhe, Germany has been approved by Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. to offer the full range of Qualcomm® Quick Charge™ Technology testing and certification services.
Karlsruhe is the latest facility in GRL’s global network, which includes labs in Santa Clara, Yokohama, Taipei, Shanghai, Dongguan and Bangalore, approved to conduct Quick Charge 2.0, Quick Charge 3.0, Quick Charge 3+, Quick Charge 4, Quick Charge 4+, and Quick Charge 5 testing and certification.
Qualcomm Technologies has also approved GRL’s USB Type-C® Power Delivery analyzers and testers, making them the only instruments currently on the market officially authorized to perform Quick Charge testing. The GRL C2-EPR automates USB Power Delivery compliance testing at up to 240W while the GRL C2 supports all compliance test specifications for USB Power Delivery 3.0 and USB Type-C Alternate Mode designs.
GRL’s analyzers and testers allow designers and manufacturers to begin the process of making products Quick Charge compliant much earlier, and innovate without increasing the risk of delays during the certification process or missing their time-to-market window.
Quick Charge certification verifies that the products tested meet Qualcomm Technologies’ standards for performance and safety. Chargers that are not Quick Charge certified run the risk of shorting or overheating, which can harm devices and chargers.
