Already adopted by leading silicon vendors, GRL-SCIS streamlines the validation process, enabling manufacturers to bring products to market more efficiently.
Granite River Labs (“GRL”), a global leader in engineering services, automated test solutions for digital connectivity and charging technologies, and professional market access services, has introduced the GRL-SCIS Shared Capacity Interoperability Software, a new solution designed to automate validation for USB Type-C Shared Power Capability products.
GRL-SCIS Shared Capacity Interoperability Software streamlines the USB-IF validation process by eliminating the need for manual review, delivering immediate pass/fail results upon trace capture. The software integrates with the GRL A1-EPR Analyzer to provide synchronized trace analysis, ensuring an accurate and efficient validation workflow. This enables manufacturers to submit results to USB-IF without delays, reducing overall certification timelines.
Designed for ease of use, GRL-SCIS provides step-by-step guidance throughout setup and execution, minimizing errors and ensuring comprehensive validation. Engineers can also process previously captured traces offline and use detailed packet synchronization to analyze and debug potential test failures. These capabilities help manufacturers improve product performance and compliance with the latest USB-IF Shared Power Interoperability specification.
With leading silicon vendors in North America already adopting GRL-SCIS, the software is becoming a key tool for improving efficiency and reliability in USB Type-C Shared Power validation.
Nikhil Acharya, Technology and Solutions Product Manager at GRL, stated, "GRL-SCIS is designed to optimize the USB-IF certification process by providing engineers with an automated and synchronized validation solution. By reducing validation time and improving accuracy, we are enabling manufacturers to bring high-quality products to market faster."
