The next generation of high-speed data transfer and power delivery solutions has arrived.
Granite River Labs (“GRL”), a global leader in engineering services, automated test solutions for digital connectivity and charging technologies, and professional market access services, successfully achieved USB4® certification for all three ports of a latest USB4® Host IC. This milestone marks a significant achievement in advancing USB4® technology, offering enhanced data transfer speeds, power delivery, and streamlined connectivity across multiple devices.
Under rigorous standards of the USB Implementers Forum (USB-IF), the USB4® Host IC-which previously passed certification for two ports-has successfully certified its third port. Additionally, another PD IC has also been certified to ensure robust power delivery for this cutting-edge technology.
The newly certified USB4® Host IC ensures that devices utilizing this technology can deliver on the promise of USB4®: faster data transfers, increased power delivery efficiency, and seamless connectivity between various devices, all while maintaining backward compatibility with previous USB versions.
As the USB4® standard continues to expand, GRL remains at the forefront of testing and certification, providing industry-leading services to support the rapid adoption of new technologies in today’s connected world.
Vamshi Kandalla, Chief Strategy Officer at GRL, praised the accomplishment, stating: “This milestone reflects our commitment to driving innovation in the USB4® ecosystem. The successful certification of all three ports is a testament to the dedication and collaboration between our teams, and we're excited to continue supporting our clients’ journey in advancing USB4® technology.”
