GRL is a third-party lab authorized by Qualcomm to offer full Quick Charge (QC) test services and automatic test solutions from QC2.0 to QC5.

Quick Charge™

Quick Charge, abbreviated as QC, is currently the fastest charging solution in the market, with more than 1,000 terminal devices using its technology. This technology can fill up to 50% of the power in 5 minutes. This feature greatly improves the customer’s user experience. QC certification content is currently divided into QC 2.0, QC 3.0, QC4, QC4+, and QC 5.0. This technology can be used in products such as chips, mobile power supplies, car chargers, etc.

(1) Sign NDA with Qualcomm

If your company has not signed an NDA with Qualcomm, please contact Qualcomm's window: Josh Warner (BrandPortal@qti.qualcomm.com)

(2) Product Information & VIF

Before starting the QC certification test, please prepare two test samples and the following product-related information for GRL:

  1. Product Information Form: It records the information that will be presented on the certificate. <Download Form by the Product Type>
  2. Vendor Information File (VIF): VIF records the capabilities of your product PD functions. When testing, the testing instrument will need to import this file to compare the actual functions of the product. If your product specification is QC4, QC4+, or QC5, VIF is necessary.
    Searching USB Vendor Info File Generator, the VIF Generator can be downloaded from USB-IF official web pages.

(3) Upload the artwork to Qualcomm

After the product has passed the certification test, please upload the product information (chassis, package, etc.) to https://brand.qualcomm.com/.

Membership & Test Process

1. About Quick Charge membership?

Qualcomm does not yet have a membership system. If you want to produce or develop QC products, you need to sign an NDA with Qualcomm then you can legally produce QC products. 2. Where can find a Quick Charge Certified Products List from Qualcomm?

3. The Usage Guides for QC Logo.

The following are the usage conditions for the Quick Charge™ logo:

  • Pass the Quick Charge test
  • Sign the Logo Trademark License Agreement (After uploading your product packaging-related information, the agreement will automatically pop up on BrandPortal for signing. One signature per company).
4. What are the requirements for the Quick Charge Logo or packaging?

5. Can the samples be returned after the test is completed?

Yes, one week after the product is certified, you can get the sample back.

6. What if my product needs to be resold to other manufacturers?

If your product needs to be resold to other manufacturers, or if you have sockets in different countries (same motherboard) you need to apply for a secondary certificate.

To apply for a secondary certificate, you need to provide the following information. You will also need to contact the sales staff to provide a quotation and confirm whether you meet the qualifications for the secondary certificate

1. Which Quick Charge products can be certified by GRL?

GRL can certify products on Source (Power supply). If your product is a Sink (Receiving) or a DRP (Source+Sink function) and needs to be certified, please contact Qualcomm: BrandPortal@qti.qualcomm.com
